RE: NASCAR Hendrick busy being referee

Can you imagine Rowdy Bush saying these things to his crew chief. Everyone would be calling him a spoiled kid, which is what he would be with these comments. Jr has been spoiled from day one because of his last name. Do not worry, all his fan will make excuses for him like they always do. He is a nice "kid" but he also is the the most overrated talent by his fans of anyone in Nascar. Burp him, give him a lollipop and put him back in his crib. Liriope i agree

RE: V10 misfiring - questions

misfire on any ford triton engine may be due to a quick start up and then turned off quickly so the next time the truck is started it will run rough as of a rich condition. the electronic computer may record a misfire if it does it more than the factory parameters allow, with this said this is a most common problem, also how many miles on the spark plugs usually due at 80k,and another common problem is water in the coil over plug boots etc rain or a eng wash. if the service eng light ever comes on have a repair shop tell you what code it is do not let a napa, oriley check for codes

RE: Any one using a Ford V10 for TV?

wingrider6, you are beating your head against a wall. Perhaps you haven't been browbeaten enough by the "Chosen Dieselers". SSDD. This forum is so predictable. The OP guy asks whether the V10 is a capable towing machine. Many of us respond yes. Then we get this. Absolute SSDD. How many people on this forum actually tow often and long enough to worry about Overhauling? It seems to me that ninety-nine percent of the towers on this forum have never overhauled their vehicles. Most of these vehicles are newer. Then we get skeetshooter25 who adds to his signature proudly that he is running his Dodge diesel with OPEN EXHAUSTS. Boy I am impressed. I also have absolutely zero desire to listen to you pulling in or out of any campground I am a part of. Threads exist on this forum about how mad people get with loud generators, but we have to listen to open exhausts in a campground. I feel about the same way about that issue as I do about idiots and their open exhaust Harleys. When I want to hear racket, I go to a NASCAR race. Many of us purchase a vehicle after doing plenty of research. We purchase a vehicle that will tow our trailer comfortably and safely. We look into longevity, mpg, initial purchase price, etc. We don't need to impress the camper next to us. MDdont worry about me camping next to a idiot like you i gave my oppion and like i said i tried a gasser never agian

RE: Any one using a Ford V10 for TV?

I tried two v-10 trucks one with 3.73 gears the truck had no power on hills and always shifted in and out of overdrive that made a trip very stressful, then traded for a f-350 v-10 with 4.30 gears still no power are speed on hills with very bad gas mileage around 7 mpg, all I have to say is I will never tow with a gasser again

RE: Truck pulls to one side, towing or not...

A lot of tires actually have the radial belts shift. (Believe it or not). It is very easy to check, simply switch front tires. Put left on right and right on left. Then go and drive your truck. If it then pulls to the left, most likely nothing is wrong with alignment, put spare on left and drive again. If pull is gone, then you have found your bad tire. Some times, but not often, it will be the other tire causing the pull. But if your pull changes, you have found out that you have a radial tire with a bad belt. This information is from 34 years running an automotive (GM Dealer service department) with hands on experience. 90% of the alignments that I do have a bad radial pull just cross the front tires first

Now I now why America is in a recessions you people that buy foreign trucks. The US would be in a deep depression if all we had was the big 3 with UAW getting high union wages. It's a World Economy now so deal with it.and thats why the American dollar is at a record low, also I am not a union worker but I thank the union for setting a wage standard for I don't work for pennies
